소개 ㅣ계절은 저마다 다른 빛과 색으로 삶의 풍경을 바꾸어 놓는다. 그 변화의 틈에서 우리는 누군가를 기다리고, 무언가를 소망하며, 때로는 지나온 날들을 되돌아본다. 그렇게 흘러온 시간은 눈에 보이지 않는 감정의 흔적을 남기고, 어느 순간 삶을 이루는 소중한 장면으로 자리한다.
전가을 작가는 자작나무를 모티프로 한 나무의 형상과 섬세한 색채의 변주를 통해 시간의 흐름을 시각화한다. 맑고 담백한 나무의 형태를 중심으로 펼쳐지는 다채로운 색은 자연의 계절을 표현하는 동시에, 그 안에 축적된 감정과 기억의 층위를 드러낸다. 서로 다른 색이 어우러지고 겹쳐지는 화면은 저마다의 시간을 통과하며 변화해 온 마음의 풍경을 떠올리게 한다.
작품 속 스노우볼은 흘러가는 시간과 대비되는 또 하나의 세계다. 그 안에 담긴 풍경은 지나간 순간을 고요히 간직하며, 쉽게 잊히는 일상의 장면들에 새로운 의미를 부여한다. 손안에 들어올 만큼 작은 공간에 머무는 풍경은 사라진 시간에 대한 아쉬움과 그 시절의 따뜻함을 함께 불러내며, 기억을 바라보는 일 자체가 지닌 위로와 아름다움을 전한다.
<우리의 계절>은 시간의 흐름 속에서 마주한 풍경과 감정이 어떻게 각자의 기억으로 남는지 살펴보는 전시다. 작가가 그려낸 나무와 색채, 작은 세계 속 풍경은 관람객 각자의 경험과 만나 또 다른 이야기로 이어진다. 누군가에게는 그리운 시절의 장면으로, 누군가에게는 현재의 소중함을 일깨우는 순간으로 다가올 수 있다.
저마다 다른 계절을 지나온 우리는 서로 다른 기억을 품고 살아간다. 작품 앞에 잠시 걸음을 멈추고 자신의 시간을 돌아보는 순간, 익숙했던 일상 속 풍경은 새로운 의미로 다가온다. 지나온 날들의 소중함과 지금 곁에 있는 작은 기쁨을 발견하는 일, 그 조용한 순간 속에서 우리는 비로소 각자의 계절을 다시 마주하게 된다.

<Our Seasona> by Jeon, Ga-Eul
Each season transforms the landscape of our lives with its own light and colors. As time passes, we wait, hope, and look back on days gone by. These moments leave traces of emotion, gradually becoming cherished memories that shape our lives.
Jeon Ga-Eul explores the passage of time through birch-inspired forms and delicate variations of color. The trees, rendered in soft and understated shapes, are surrounded by shifting hues that evoke not only the changing seasons but also the emotions and memories gathered along the way. The interplay of colors creates a landscape of feelings shaped by time and experience.
The snow globes in her works offer a world of their own, holding moments that might otherwise fade away. Within these small, enclosed spaces, familiar scenes take on new meaning, bringing back the warmth of the past and the quiet comfort found in remembering.
<Our Seasons> reflects on how the landscapes and emotions we encounter become part of our personal histories. The trees, colors, and miniature worlds in Jeon’s paintings meet each viewer’s own experiences, opening the door to different memories and stories. For some, they may recall a distant past; for others, they may reveal the beauty of the present.
We each carry memories from the seasons we have lived through. By pausing before these works and looking back on our own journeys, we may discover new meaning in familiar moments. In recognizing the value of days gone by and the small joys of everyday life, we find ourselves reconnecting with our own seasons.
