소개 ㅣ 하얀 햇살이 수면 위에 내려앉는 순간, 물빛은 부서지며 윤슬로 번져나간다. 그 미세한 떨림은 단순한 풍경을 넘어, 보이지 않는 생명의 호흡을 드러낸다. 깊은 심연 속에 가라앉아 있던 존재들은 빛을 따라 서서히 떠오르고, 그 움직임은 다시 하나의 리듬이 되어 세계를 진동시킨다.
리영의 작업은 바로 이 ‘떠오름’의 순간에서 출발한다. 윤슬은 그에게 단순한 자연 현상이 아니라, 내면 깊은 곳에 잠재된 의욕과 감각을 일깨우는 생명의 단위이다. 허기진 창작의 순간마다, 빛과 물이 만들어내는 미세한 파동은 세포처럼 스며들어 작업을 다시 움직이게 하는 원동력이 된다.
이번 전시 《생명의 노래 – from the nature》는 자연이 들려주는 가장 근원적인 울림에 대한 응답이다. 화면 위에 펼쳐진 빛의 흔적과 흐름은 특정한 형상을 재현하기보다, 생명이 생성되고 확장되는 과정을 감각적으로 번역한다. 이는 자연을 바라보는 시선이자, 동시에 스스로를 탄생시키는 행위에 가깝다.
리영에게 자연은 대상이 아니라 끊임없이 교류하는 존재이며, 윤슬은 그 접점에서 발생하는 가장 섬세한 신호이다. 이 전시는 그 신호를 따라가며, 우리가 잊고 있던 생명의 리듬과 감각을 다시 호출한다. 빛과 물, 그리고 그 사이에서 태어나는 떨림 속에서 관람자는 자신만의 ‘생명의 노래’를 마주하게 될 것이다.

<Song of Life> - Solo Exhibition by Young-Min Lee
The moment white sunlight settles upon the surface of the water, it fractures into shimmering ripples. This delicate trembling transcends mere scenery, revealing the hidden breath of life. From the depths of the abyss, where existence has long been submerged, beings slowly rise toward the light, their movement forming a rhythm that gently resonates through the world.
Lee’s work begins precisely at this moment of emergence. For the artist, the shimmering ripples are not simply a natural phenomenon, but a vital unit of life that awakens latent desire and sensitivity within. In moments of creative hunger, the subtle waves created by light and water permeate like cells, becoming the driving force that sets the work in motion once again.
This exhibition, Song of Life – from the nature, is a response to the most fundamental resonance of nature. The traces of light and flowing forms that unfold across the surface do not aim to reproduce specific shapes; rather, they sensorially translate the process through which life is generated and expanded. It is both a way of seeing nature and an act of self-renewal.
For Lee, nature is not an object, but a presence in constant exchange. The shimmering ripples are the most delicate signals that arise at this point of contact. Following these signals, the exhibition calls forth the rhythms and sensations of life that we may have forgotten. Within the interplay of light and water—and the vibrations born between them—viewers are invited to encounter their own “song of life.”
